XO Pride

Queerdoos is back for more with XO, and this time they have cherry-picked the finest selection of artists for their Pride special. The collective consisting of Daddy Knakworst, MBQT, and Maeve has made waves in Utrecht and beyond by focussing on the intersections of fun, art, and beats outside of straight bounds. This Pride special is about to be their biggest night yet. This edition’s motto planting the seeds of a blossomed fruit is about having your fruit and eating it too. It invites you to savour the sweetness of what’s been created, with a consciousness of the labour and sacrifice put into it. It is about planting new seeds with all the love you feel in your heart. About coming out and returning. It is about distinguishing between artificial sweets and the real deal. It speaks to sowing the potential of what is still to become, planting the seeds of a future in the making. It is about eating the forbidden fruit and giving up the path carved out for you by your father figure. About knowing that if you keep a full basket all to yourself, it will just go rotten. About nurturing. About sticky sweet juice dripping down your belly, wishing you could share this pleasure with everyone.
