Redbox presents Mushroom Pulses

Kasper van der Meulen performs Mushroom Pulses, a live audiovisual act built around a living mushroom grow box. A biosonification device turns the fungi's bioelectrical signals into notes for an evolving ambient soundscape. He improvises over it with instruments from around the world using live looping, while the signals are shown on screen. The three-hour session opens with a lecture on biosonification and the role of fungi in health and the planet. REDBOX films the full session, and reserving a table is advised.
