Woof woof! Look who’s back in town! For EKKO’s 40th anniversary, the Cult Crew is reuniting for a special edition of Cultfarm. From 2010 to 2020, Cultfarm organized club nights at EKKO, focusing on the leftfield and weirder side of club music. With visual spectacles in the artworks and on the VJ screen, and a guaranteed good atmosphere during the parties themselves, Cultfarm became a celebrated name in Utrecht’s club scene. Many artists have filled the lineups of Cultfarm nights: Legowelt, Gerd Janson, Sassy J, Sadar Bahar, PLO Man, Palmbomen, Elena Colombi, Nosedrip, upsammy, Pender Street Steppers, Mary Lake, and Antal, all of whom have already shaken the foundations of our venue on Bemuurde Weerd. This edition features Dave Huismans, Shana, Andy, and Cultfarm Allstars. Dave Huismans has been operating at the intersection of sound system culture, techno, and leftfield club music for years. With projects like A Made Up Sound and 2562, he is known for physical, bass-driven sets full of unpredictable rhythms, dub influences, and experimental electronics that make it impossible to stand still. Shana will be spinning a dynamic b2b set together with Andy, packed with breaks, deep bass, and percussive grooves. While Shana’s signature style borders on bass-heavy club sounds, Andy delivers an eclectic mix of UK influences, house, dub, and techno that constantly shifts form. Cultfarm Allstars, consisting of Latoya, Luke Cohlen, Gui Tierrezz, and tala drum corps, will close the evening together. Expect an energetic finale where diverse sounds and influences come together to create a collective club experience.
