A new Club EKKO, lovingly selected by us for your (and our own) dancing pleasure. This time, in celebration of EKKO’s fortieth anniversary, featuring Identified Patient, supported by a b2b set from Utrecht: RAGA and VOLPEVOLPE. Job Veerman, better known as Identified Patient, has been regarded for years as one of the leading names in the Dutch underground. The Amsterdam-based DJ and producer moves effortlessly between bass, acid, electro, jungle, techno, and wave, without ever adhering to genre boundaries. His sets feel like an unpredictable journey full of tension, contrast, and controlled chaos. With releases on labels such as Pinkman, Dekmantel, and Brokntoys, as well as his own imprint Nerve Collect, Identified Patient remains a fixture within the European club scene. For EKKO’s anniversary, he is coming to the Bemuurde Weerd for a club night that is free to go in any direction. The evening is opened by RAGA and VOLPEVOLPE, two Utrecht-based DJs who met through EKKO’s DJ Course 2. RAGA effortlessly switches between bass music, UK funky, dub, and percussive grooves, while VOLPEVOLPE brings together electro, acid, EBM, and wave in darker sets. Two different directions, brought together in a b2b that takes center stage with the unexpected.
