Conceived by DJ and producer JHONATAN OSPINA in partnership with House Mag magazine, Confluence is the official opening event of the Amsterdam Dance Event 2026, featuring a musical program that moves between an energetic dialogue of house and techno and the celebration of distinct global clubbing scenes. The event evokes the literal meaning of "confluence," drawing attention to the convergence of different geographical flows—from Colombia and Brazil to the United States and Europe—into a single space. On the other hand, the concept expands, "The city is connected by canals. The scene is connected by culture," adopted as a foundation to connect diverse personal trajectories and artistic roots. Throughout the entire night, there is a commitment to immersive and underground experiences: engaging high-technology lighting systems that sync with the beats in real-time, and exploring the venue's potent acoustic structure. Collectively, the curation asks: how can an environment traditionally connected to Amsterdam's club culture serve as a territory for the encounter of different identities and sonic landscapes?
